I did not hear it through the grapevine, but got an invitation of having a cup of this extraordinary coffee - Civet Coffee, or Kopi Luwak - being one of the most expensive coffees in the world. This Civet = cat, called Toddy cat is an Asian Palm civet and indeed looks like a mix of cat-rat, climbs the coffee trees, eats coffee beans, digests them and the beans come out in its stools as a complete bean.
People say that this wonderful coffee (after being cleaned and dried) is less bitter and its taste is emphasized through that digestive process. Mmmhhh.... yummie.. I gently refused this offer of a good and fresh and expensive cup of special flavour coffee....
